春不老
春不老是罕見的花名
但它恒以靜態姿勢
注視天、注視地
和太陽、星星、月亮共舞
抗瘠堅毅的性格
是春不老與宇宙交集的特質
東方紫金牛、萬兩金
也是它的名字
／
它喜愛熱帶氣溫
是有朝氣的小型喬木
卻也是吉祥灌木
成為樹籬時
衍然是一溜美麗的風景
／
如果時間稍稍停留葉尖
油綠的盆栽
很快──
便屹立成為大自然界中的一名勇士
／
它下垂開放的紅、白花蕊
是蜜蜂的糧食
扁形漿果
則吸引麻雀、斑鳩、白頭翁前來覓食
（其實，它有時也是小孩甜蜜的零食）
SEASHORE ARDISIA
Seashore ardisia is a rare name for a flower.
Yet it commands the attention with the world with
eternal stillness,
gazing at the skies and the earth,
and swinging gently with the visiting sun, stars and the moon.
It marries resolve with character,
and proudly claims its place in the floral cosmos.
Its dainty berries irresistible to the birds.

A sturdy little tree,
It favors the warmth of the tropics.
A bringer of good luck,
it is a corner-scape of loveliness
when it hedges by the white picket fence.

If its green leaves care to weather the trials of time,
this potted plant
would soon flourish into a trusted sentinel in the forest.
Its red and white stamens
are where the honeybees find their sustenance;
Its berries
keep the sparrows, turtledoves and Chinese bulbuls strong
for the next journey.
